What We Believe?
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and
earth and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father
(Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit).
We believe in repentance, which constitutes a fundamental change of mind, turning
away from sin and self-reliance toward trust in Jesus Christ. It is not a "work" to
earn salvation, but a fruit of a regenerated heart that aligns with faith.
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins. Through baptism, we identify with the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:1-8; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other
tongues. Acts 2:4.
Our chief aim is to glorify our Saviour, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might
redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good
works; that we should show forth the praises of Him who hath called us out of darkness into
His marvelous light; and that we may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom we shine as lights in
the world, holding forth the Word of Life, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the
shadow of death, to guide their feet into the way of peace. (See Titus 2:13, 14:1; 1 Peter 2:9;
Philippians 2:15, 16; Luke 1:79)
Our duty is to lift the fallen; visit the sick; strengthen the weak; encourage the faint-hearted;
comfort the feeble-minded; point the lost to the way of salvation and urge all believers to
seek a spirit-filled life (Ephesians 5:18; Acts 19:1-16) and prepare for the coming of the Lord.
(James 1:27; 1 Thessalonians 5:4; Mark 16:15-18; Matthew 25:1-13).
Moreover, it is our indispensable duty, as partakers of the “royal priesthood,”
(1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6; 5:10), to offer supplications, prayer, intercessions, and giving
thanks for all men, for kings, presidents, governors, magistrates, and all that are in
authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all Godliness and honesty; (1
Timothy 2:14; Romans 13:1-14).

What is Repentance?
Repentance is necessary for salvation because it constitutes a fundamental change of mind,
turning away from sin and self-reliance to trust in Jesus Christ. It is not a "work" to earn
salvation, but a fruit of a regenerated heart that aligns with faith. Repentance acknowledges
one’s sinful state and need for a Savior, allowing for reconciliation with God.
WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
Repentance means turning away from sin and turning toward God with a changed heart and
mind. It is more than feeling sorry; it is a sincere decision to walk in a new direction. True
repentance produces visible change in a person’s life. The Bible teaches that God
“commands all people everywhere to repent” Acts 17:30 and that “godly sorrow brings
repentance that leads to salvation” 2 Corinthians 7:10. Through repentance, we respond to
God’s grace and begin living a life that honors Him
A "Change of Mind": The Greek term metanoia signifies a change of mind about sin and
Jesus, moving from ignoring or mocking Him to worshipping Him as Lord. Ezekiel 18:30
Turning from Sin: It is a "total about-face," where a person turns away from sinful habits and
towards God. Acts 3:19
Evidence of Regeneration: A truly saved person will exhibit a repentant heart, as the Holy
Spirit enables them to desire God's will over sin. Revelation 2:5
Biblical Command: Scripture consistently calls for repentance as a prerequisite for receiving
forgiveness and avoiding perishing. Luke 13:3
Why is baptism important?
“Baptism is a command of Christ, a means of receiving the Holy Spirit, a washing away of
sins, and a symbolic death and resurrection with Jesus. It marks the transition into a new life,
acting as a public pledge of faith and obedience. Jesus and the apostles directly link baptism
to salvation. Mark 16:16 states, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."Acts 2:38
(KJV)
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How
shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as
were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore, we are buried with
him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life." Romans 6:1-8 (KJV)
Forgiveness of Sins: Baptism is seen as the act that washes away sins and brings a person
into a state of grace, as highlighted in Acts 22:16.
Union with Christ: Baptism represents being buried with Christ and raised with Him to a new
life, as described in Romans 6:3-4.

What is the Holy Ghost?
The Promised Gift:
As believers, we stand on the threshold of an extraordinary promise - the gift of the Holy
Spirit. In Acts 2:38, we are reminded that this gift is extended to us through repentance and
baptism. This Holy Spirit is not only a guide, comforter, and advocate but a divine presence
that empowers us to live victoriously.
Baptism with the Holy Spirit:
Acts 1:5 illustrates the distinction between water baptism and baptism with the Holy Spirit.
Just as water baptism signifies an outward transformation, baptism with the Holy Spirit is an
inner renewal that brings us closer to God's heart.
Empowerment for Holiness:
The Holy Ghost enables believers to overcome sin and empowers them to live in obedience to
God. Romans 8:13, Galatians 5:16
Encountering God's Power:
The Holy Spirit is the dynamic power of God dwelling within us. It grants us the strength to
overcome challenges, the wisdom to make godly choices, and the courage to stand firm in our
faith. John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9-11, I Corinthians 6:19-20
Our Response:
As we meditate on these passages, let us open our hearts to the promise of the Holy Spirit. Let
us yield to the Spirit's leading and seek His guidance in every aspect of our lives. Just as the
early disciples experienced this promise, so can we, as we embrace the transforming presence
of the Holy Spirit.
A Prayerful Reflection:
Let's take a moment to pray and invite the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts anew. Let's ask for His
guidance, His comfort, and His empowerment to be bold witnesses of God's love and truth in
our spheres of influence.
May the promise of the Holy Spirit be a constant reminder of God's abiding presence in our
lives. Let us walk in the power, love, and joy that the Holy Spirit brings, spreading His light to a
world in need. Amen.
